Recap: Indianapolis vs. NY Giants

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Nassib's 4-yard touchdown pass to Corey Washington with 55 seconds left capped a ferocious fourth-quarter comeback for the New York Giants, who pulled out a 27-26 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in a preseason clash.

The Giants put up 27 unanswered points in the final 10 1/2 minutes to erase a 26-0 deficit and move to 3-0 this preseason, with both Nassib and fellow backup quarterback Curtis Painter throwing for touchdowns during the rally.

Nassib finished 11-of-15 for 158 yards to help offset another rough effort from Eli Manning, who hit on just 1-of-7 throws for six yards on four stalled New York possessions.

Andrew Luck led three scoring drives for Indianapolis while playing into the second quarter, with the former No. 1 overall pick going 12-of-18 for 89 yards and tossing a 5-yard touchdown strike to Griff Whalen.

Former Giant Hakeem Nicks paced the Colts on the receiving end with five catches for 53 yards.

Indianapolis owned a comfortable 20-0 advantage at halftime following Matt Hasselbeck's 14-yard touchdown pass to Da'Rick Rogers, then extended the margin further on a pair of Cody Parkey field goals in the second half.

Painter then engineered an 11-play, 80-yard march capped by a 3-yard delivery to Kellen Davis that got New York on the board with 10:16 to play. Sixteen seconds later, Justin Anderson forced a fumble from the Colts' Phillip Tanner that the Giants' Spencer Adkins recovered in the end zone to cut the lead to 26-14.

Following an Indianapolis punt, Nassib took over and executed an 11-play, 92- yard drive that featured an 8-yard connection to Marcus Harris on 4th-and-2. He hit Travis Harvey for a 27-yard gain later in the series that set up Michael Cox's 2-yard run that pulled New York within 26-21 with 3:59 remaining.

The Giants then forced a three-and-out to get the ball back on their own 14 with 3:29 on the clock. Nassib kept the series alive with a 26-yard hookup with Adrien Robinson on 4th-and-16, then hit Washington for the go-ahead score shortly afterward. A 2-point conversion try intended for Robinson failed.
