Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the retirement of veteran kicker Nate Kaeding amongst a slew of roster moves on Thursday.

Kaeding had been signed by the Bucs in early April as an unrestricted free agent who spent 2012 split between the Chargers and Dolphins.

Last season, the 31-year-old connected on 8-of-10 field-goal attempts and all nine of his extra-point tries.

He had been named to All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections during the 2006 and 2009 campaigns, while kicking for San Diego from 2004 until being released in October of last season.

In 115 career games, Kaeding was good on 181-of-210 field goal attempts, and his .862 field goal percentage ranks second in NFL history. He added 352- of-354 points after touchdown.

The Buccaneers also announced the retirement of tight end Drake Dunsmore, while signing wide receivers Jerry Johnson, D.J. Monroe, Tim Wright, cornerbacks Deveron Carr, Rashaan Melvin, Branden Smith, tackles Brice Schwab, Nick Speller, Jason Weaver, tight end Evan Landi, linebacker Willie Moseley, running back Akeem Shavers and guard Adam Smith.

In addition, Tampa waived guard/tackle Derek Hardman, defensive tackle Corvey Irvin and cornerback James Rogers.
