Allen Park, MI (Sports Network) - Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Ryan Broyles tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Sunday's 35-33 loss to the Colts, head coach Jim Schwartz revealed on Monday.

Broyles tore the ACL in his left knee during his senior season at Oklahoma, but this time injured the opposite knee and will undergo season-ending reconstructive surgery to correct the issue. He left Sunday's contest after make a short catch on the Lions' second offensive series of the game.

The rookie wideout finished the year with 22 catches for 310 yards and two touchdowns, but posted his most productive game in a 34-31 OT loss to the Texans on Thanksgiving.

He hauled in six passes for 126 yards, seeing an increase in playing time after second-year wide receiver Titus Young was held out of the contest due to behavioral reasons.

Young missed his second consecutive game after sitting out of Sunday's loss to the Colts. Schwartz announced he is still not with the team and that he "will not be in the mix," but wouldn't say if Young's season is over.

"I can't predict what the future will hold," said Schwartz.

The Lions will play at Green Bay next Sunday night.
