New York, NY (Sports Network) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman and New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes have been named NFC offensive, defensive and special teams players of the month for October.

Rodgers completed 96-of-141 passes for 1,101 yards, 14 touchdowns and just one interception to guide the Packers to a 3-1 record for the month. He registered multi-touchdown performances in all four games, including a six-TD showing in Week 6. Rodgers also became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 20 touchdowns through his team's first eight games in consecutive seasons.

Tillman had two interceptions returned for touchdowns and also forced two fumbles while becoming the second Bears cornerback in as many months to win the monthly award. Tim Jennings won the award for September. Tillman has seven career interceptions returned for scores, the most in franchise history.

Tynes led the NFL with 13 field goals and 51 points in the Giants' 4-0 month of October. Tynes was responsible for at least nine points and two field goals in each game throughout the second month of the 2012 campaign. Tynes became the first kicker in franchise history to win the monthly award.
