Alameda, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders have signed Pro Bowl fullback Marcel Reece to a three-year contract extension through the 2016 season, the team announced on Friday.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Reece was slated to be an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of this season.

One of the league's most versatile players at his position, Reece earned his first career Pro Bowl nod after finishing second among Oakland players with 52 receptions totaling 496 yards in 2012. The former undrafted free agent also spent some time at tailback due to injuries last season, and ranked second on the team with 271 rushing yards on 59 carries.

Reece entered the NFL in 2008 and spent the majority of his first two years in the league as a member of the Raiders' practice squad. He won the team's primary fullback job in 2010 and has started 31 times over the past four seasons.

"I plan on playing for as long as God will allow me to," said Reece. "If it's for a lot longer, I want it all to be with the Raiders. [Former owner] Al Davis believed in me more than I did myself at times, and it meant a lot to me. I take it to heart and I take it seriously. [Owner] Mark Davis has loved me the same. I love the organization and I love the Raiders family. I plan on being a Raider for life."

Over 47 career games, all with Oakland, Reece has recorded 107 catches for 1,159 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 505 yards and a score on 106 attempts.
