Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels was named to the AFC squad as an injury replacement for the upcoming Pro Bowl, the team announced Monday.

Daniels will be filling in for New England's Rob Gronkowski, who fractured his left forearm during the Patriots' 41-28 victory over the Texans in the AFC Divisional Playoffs on Jan. 13.

This will be the second career Pro Bowl nod for Daniels, who led Houston with six touchdown catches during the regular season while recording 62 receptions totaling 716 yards. The seven-year veteran was also honored in 2008, when Daniels posted career bests of 70 catches and 862 receiving yards.

Daniels' addition gives Houston a conference-best nine members on the AFC team, easily the most in team history.
