Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Reigning Calder Trophy recipient Gabriel Landeskog will make his return to the lineup when the Avalanche head to southern California this weekend.

The Colorado captain has been out of commission with a concussion and a leg injury since Jan. 26, missing his club's last 11 games. He will travel with the team to the West Coast and is expected to be back in action on Saturday in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old Swede, the No. 2 overall selection of the 2011 draft, was named the NHL's top rookie following a terrific 2011-12 season in which he amassed 22 goals and 30 assists while producing a plus-20 rating.

Landeskog had managed just one goal over Colorado's first four games of this season, but was a plus-three over that stretch.
