Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Stars placed defenseman Aaron Rome on injured reserve and recalled forward Travis Morin from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

Rome was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2012. He recorded five assists and 18 penalty minutes in 27 games with the Stars during the lockout- shortened 2013 season.

The 30-year-old defenseman has yet to play an NHL game this season. He suffered a lower body injury on Nov. 24.

Morin leads the AHL with 29 points in 19 games with Texas. The 6-foot-1, 190- pound forward has skated in three games with the Stars this season.
