Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - The Ottawa Senators reloaded after losing Daniel Alfredsson on Friday, acquiring four-time 30-goal scorer Bobby Ryan in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks.

In exchange for Ryan, the Senators gave up forwards Jakob Silfverberg and Stefan Noesen as well as their first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Ottawa saw franchise icon Alfredsson leave Canada to sign with Detroit earlier in the day, but the deal for Ryan assures the Sens of replacing the offense lost with their former captain.

Ryan, 26, has amassed 147 goals and 289 points over 378 career games. He was the second-overall pick in the 2005 draft, with the Ducks selecting him one slot after Pittsburgh chose Sidney Crosby.

A native of Cherry Hill, NJ, Ryan recorded career-best 35 goals in 2009-10. He posted 11 goals and 19 assists in 46 games for the Ducks last season, then contributed two goals and two assists in a seven-game first-round defeat against Detroit.

Ryan has two seasons remaining on a five-year, $25.5 million contract he signed with Anaheim in 2010.

Silfverberg, a second-round pick by Ottawa in 2009, skated in all 48 games for the Sens in 2013 and was one of six NHL rookies to record double digits in goals during the lockout-shortened campaign. The 22-year-old Swede ended 2013 with 10 goals and nine assists.

Noesen, a 20-year-old American prospect, was a first-round pick by Ottawa in 2011. He played last season with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League, notching 25 goals and 53 points over 51 games.
