Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes snared unrestricted free-agent center Mike Ribeiro with a four-year deal on Friday.

Financial terms of the pact were not disclosed, but a report from TSN of Canada state it is worth $22 million with an average annual value of $5.5 million.

"We are thrilled to sign Mike to a multi-year contract," Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said. "Mike is an elite playmaker who has exceptional vision and creativity on the ice. He has tremendous offensive skills with great patience with the puck. Our Head Coach, Dave Tippett, is very familiar with Mike's game and believes he will be an excellent addition to our hockey club. We look forward to welcoming him to Phoenix."

The 33-year-old Montreal native posted 13 goals and 36 points in 48 regular- season games, adding a goal and assist in seven playoff contests for the Capitals in 2013.

Over 785 games in 13 NHL seasons, Ribeiro has compiled 186 goals and 609 points for Montreal, Dallas and Washington.

Earlier in the day, the Coyotes announced the signing of goaltender Thomas Greiss to a one-year contract.

The 27-year-old German netminder was 1-4-0 with a 2.53 goals-against average and one shutout in six games for San Jose this past season. He finished 17-16-3 with a 2.52 GAA in 44 appearances with the Sharks in four seasons.
