San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Jose Sharks re-signed goaltender Alex Stalock to a two-year contract Tuesday.

Stalock posted a 12-5-2 record with two shutouts, a save percentage of .932 and a 1.87 goals-against average last season for the Sharks. He set a franchise record for the longest shutout streak after stifling opponents with 178 minutes and 55 seconds of scoreless play.

The 26-year-old Minnesota native also played in three games (one start) during the postseason, where he allowed just four goals on 56 shots.

Stalock was a nominee for the 2013-14 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy awarding perseverance after suffering a potential career-ending knee injury in February of 2011 with the Worcester Sharks.
