Recap: St. Louis vs. Nashville

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Jaroslav Halak needed to make just 13 saves for his second shutout of the season, as the St. Louis Blues downed Nashville, 3-0, in a Central Division clash.

T.J. Oshie, Patrik Berglund and Vladimir Tarasenko lit the lamp for the Blues, who have given up six goals in four games en route to a 3-1-0 start.

"All in all, we've played pretty consistent," St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock said.

Pekka Rinne allowed three goals on 24 shots for the Predators, who fell to 1-1-2.

"We did not have a good game. We made it easy on them," said Nashville forward Colin Wilson.

Oshie opened the scoring on a power play with 7:01 to play in the opening period, rushing the net and shoveling a loose puck home from inside the crease.

Berglund doubled the edge with 9:26 gone in the second period, scoring on his first career penalty shot.

Tarasenko's fourth of the year slid between Rinne's pads from the left wing at 9:04 of the third period and removed all thoughts of a Predators comeback.

Halak, who was yanked three days prior at Nashville, made three stops in the first period, four in the second and six more in the third to complete the whitewash.

Game Notes
