Recap: Dallas vs. Anaheim

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Kari Lehtonen stopped 20 shots and the Dallas Stars got goals from three different players in a 3-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.

Trevor Daley, Jamie Benn and Loui Eriksson lit the lamp for Dallas, which earned its 758th win since moving to Texas 19 seasons ago. That equals the victory total the team had in 26 seasons as the Minnesota North Stars.

The Stars have earned points in seven consecutive home games against the Ducks, compiling a 6-0-1 record in that span. Anaheim has not won in regulation at American Airlines Center since Oct. 26, 2010.

Jonas Hiller stopped 14-of-16 shots in the opening period for the Stars, but was lifted after suffering a lower body injury. Rookie Viktor Fasth allowed a goal on 12 shots the rest of the way.

Nick Bonino scored the lone goal for the Ducks, who had a four-game winning streak broken.

The Stars, who won their third in a row overall, capitalized on a roughing penalty to Brad Staubitz and scored on the power play 8:48 into the contest on Daley's blast from the high slot.

Dallas expanded to a 2-0 lead thanks to another man-advantage goal, this one resulting from a 5-minute major and game misconduct from Staubitz after a spearing penalty was called.

"It wasn't a penalty," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "What do you want me to say. Good refs have bad games. Like good hockey players have bad games, good refs have bad games. He didn't do anything. A spear, as far as I know, is when you take the butt of the stick or the blade of the stick and you stick it in someone's gut. It hit him (Brenden Dillon) three quarters of the way up the shaft."

Benn netted the goal at the 12:59 mark when his tight-angle shot from below the left circle clanked off the far post and into the net.

"We wanted to get on them early," Benn said. "They're obviously a good team and they're on a bit of a hot streak so we wanted to go right after them and not give them any confidence. We used our home building to an advantage."

Bonino cut the deficit in half with 4:37 left in the second period on a deflection in front off a blue line shot from Luca Sbisa.

Eriksson moved the Stars ahead by two again with 7:14 left in regulation. Alex Goligoski passed the puck from the left boards across the ice to the right circle where Ericksson let go a successful wrist shot that beat Fasth to the glove side.

The Ducks had just one shot on goal in the last period and suffered their first regulation road loss of the season.
