Recap: Calgary vs. Anaheim

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Roman Horak and Brian McGrattan scored one goal apiece to lead the Calgary Flames to a 3-1 win over the reeling Anaheim Ducks on Friday.

Roman Cervenka added an empty-netter and Mike Cammalleri had a pair of assists for the Flames, who played their final game at the Saddledome this season. The Flames will close the season with four straight road contests.

"We played such a great game, but knowing that we're leaving this rink until next training camp is sad," Flames head coach Bob Hartley said.

Miikka Kiprusoff made 32 saves in the win.

Corey Perry scored the lone goal for the Ducks, who dropped their fourth straight game. Anaheim is just 5-8-2 over its last 15 games.

"We're certainly not going to (finish second in the conference and win our division) playing the way that we did the first two periods," Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I couldn't have cared less if we were playing a midget team or the Russian national team. We needed the win that should have been motivation enough."

Jonas Hiller made 28 saves but surrendered a pair of goals in the setback.

The Ducks currently hold a five-point edge over the Vancouver Canucks for the second seed in the upcoming Western Conference playoffs.

Horak punched home Lee Stempniak's shot to give the Flames a 1-0 edge 2:45 into the middle session. Stempniak fired a shot from the right circle, but was turned away by Hiller. Horak was there for the rebound and pounded it past the goaltender for just his second tally of the season.

McGrattan made a pair of incredible moves to give the Flames a 2-0 lead early in the third. First, McGrattan bounced the puck off the boards on the right side near center ice to slip by a defender, and as he recovered the disc, he pushed it between the legs of another Ducks defender before beating Hiller five-hole with just 3:14 gone in the third.

Perry's wrister with 3:41 left made things interesting, but Cervenka's empty netter with 51 seconds left all but sealed the game for the Flames.

Game Notes

The Flames were 1-2 against the Ducks this season ... Anaheim is 11-5-5 on the road this season ... The Ducks will play their next three games on the road before closing the season at home on April 27 ... Anaheim holds a five-point lead over the Los Angeles Kings in the Pacific Division standings.
