Recap: Philadelphia vs. Washington

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Joel Rechlicz scored the lone goal in the shootout and the Washington Capitals beat the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-3, in preseason action.

John Carlson, Joel Ward and Ryan Stoa lit the lamp in regulation for the Capitals. Michal Neuvirth made 16 saves and David Leggio stopped 14-of-17 shots.

Jason Akeson and Jakub Voracek each had a goal and an assist for the Flyers. Vincent Lecavalier also scored for Philadelphia, which saw Ray Emery stop 29- of-32 shots.
