Recap: Columbus vs. Buffalo

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Marcus Foligno scored two goals to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 3-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets in preseason NHL action from Nationwide Arena.

Foligno's second marker of the night, an unassisted tally with 5:09 left in the second period, snapped a 1-1 tie. Mikhail Grigorenko added an insurance goal in the third period, while Ryan Miller and Matt Hackett combined for 24 saves for the Sabres.

Miller stopped 15-of-16 shots in 31 minutes of time, with Hackett turning aside all nine chances he faced in relief.

R.J. Umberger had the lone Columbus goal 4:29 into the second period. Reigning Vezina Trophy recipient Sergei Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 15 shots over the first two frames.
