Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Nashville

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Brett Connolly scored twice and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Nashville Predators 5-1 in a preseason game Thursday.

Steven Stamkos, Richard Panik and Ondrej Palat also scored for the Lightning and Riku Helenius stopped all 15 shots he faced in just under 31 minutes. Cedrick Desjardins allowed a goal on 17 shots.

Matt Cullen scored a shorthanded goal for the Predators. Carter Hutton allowed four goals on 17 shots in two periods and Marek Mazanec let one in on four shots in the third.
