Recap: Vancouver vs. St. Louis

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Santorelli's goal early in the third period lifted the Vancouver Canucks over the St. Louis Blues, 2-1, on Friday.

Zac Dalpe also lit the lamp for the Canucks, who snapped a five-game skid. Eddie Lack stopped 30-of-31 shots.

"Lack was really good tonight. He made key saves. It's a big win for us," said Canucks coach John Tortorella.

Alex Pietrangelo scored for the Blues, who had a seven-game winning streak stopped. Brian Elliott turned aside 20-of-22 shots.

"We created some chances. He made some good saves, we couldn't bury a couple and the difference is a one-goal loss on the road," said Blues forward David Backes.

The Blues outshot the Canucks by a 12-5 margin in a scoreless first period.

Vancouver got on the board at 1:31 of the second period. Daniel Sedin's shot from the left point was deflected in by Dalpe.

Pietrangelo's slap shot from the right point at the 7:49 mark made it a 1-1 game.

Santorelli scored 5:56 into the third to give Vancouver a 2-1 lead. Jason Garrison's shot from the high slot was redirected by Santorelli.

Lack made 10 saves over the final 20 minutes to secure the victory.
