Recap: Los Angeles vs. Calgary

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Brodie scored the winner with 30 seconds left as the Calgary Flames took a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.

Mike Cammalleri had a goal and an assist while Sean Monahan had the other tally for the Flames, who were 0-2-0 on a five-game road trip coming into the game.

"Real gutsy effort, and (we) scored three goals on the power play," Calgary coach Bob Hartley said.

Karri Ramo stopped 27 shots to win his first game since the 2008-09 season when he was with Tampa Bay.

Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter lit the lamp for the Kings, who had won five of six coming into the game. Jonathan Quick allowed all three goals on 25 shots in the loss.

"Tonight was 10 (games) in 19 (days), and the other team was clearly fresher than ours. It made a big difference," Kings head coach Darryl Sutter said.

Skating on the power play after Anze Kopitar was whistled for hooking at 17:48, Calgary worked the puck in the Los Angeles zone and Jiri Hudler was set up behind the Kings' net.

Sending a slow backhand pass from the left side, Hudler's pass slid out to the slot where Brodie teed up a one-timer that sailed past a screened Quick with 30 seconds showing on the clock.

Los Angeles was unable to get a quality chance before time expired.

The Kings scored on the power play with 1:24 to play in the first as Doughty took a feed in the high slot and lined up a shot that he wristed into the left corner.

Calgary tied the game on the power play thanks to Cammalleri's first of the year at 2:50, and made it a 2-1 game with 6:21 to play in the first, again on the power play, as Monahan snapped a rebound from in front over a prone Quick for his sixth of the year.

Skating shorthanded, the Kings tied the game at 16:40 of the second as Carter rushed down the right wing and threw it front where the puck was deflected off a defender's stick and past Ramo with Richards causing havoc in front.
