Recap: Ottawa vs. Columbus

Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 shots as the Columbus Blue Jackets took a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday.

Ryan Johansen and Fedor Tyutin each posted a goal and an assist, while R.J. Umberger and Derek MacKenzie scored for the Blue Jackets, who had lost three straight and eight of nine coming into the game.

"We got some great play from our leaders and all four lines worked well," said Columbus head coach Todd Richards. "We had great goaltending, the defense looked good, there's lots of things you can look at to see why we won this game."

Erik Karlsson scored late in the game for the Senators, who had won four of five coming into the game. Craig Anderson gave up all four goals on 22 shots in the loss.

"We had some chances but just couldn't find the back of the net," said Anderson. "We got one and started to get some pressure, but it was too late at that point."

Columbus scored on the power play at 4:50 of the first period as Johansen held the puck at the right circle before snapping a shot into the net for his sixth of the season.

It was a 2-0 game at 4:13 of the second, as the Blue Jackets again scored on the power play after Umberger knocked in a Johansen shot that had popped into the air.

The Jackets power play again cashed in at 12:07 of the second period on a slap shot from Tyutin for a 3-0 lead.

Columbus made it a 4-0 contest at 5:27 of the third on MacKenzie's second of the season, while Karlsson scored on the power play with 2:27 left in the game to prevent the shutout.
