Recap: Toronto vs. Winnipeg

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Tobias Enstrom scored the game-winning goal as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs, 4-2, on Saturday.

After Paul Ranger went off for holding Adam Pardy, the Jets took a 3-2 lead on the power play. Enstrom skated across the blue line and fired a shot past a screened James Reimer with 2:58 to go in the second.

Bryan Little, Jacob Trouba, and Olli Jokinen also scored for the Jets, who have won two of their last three. Andrew Ladd, Michael Frolik and Blake Wheeler all supplied two helpers, while Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 23 shots in the win.

"I thought it was a great effort, start to finish," said Ladd.

Phil Kessel and Nazem Kadri provided Toronto's two goals and Reimer allowed all four goals on 41 shots.

"I think they outplayed us," Kessel said. " We need to play better."

The Maple Leafs sit one point behind the idle Columbus Blue Jackets for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Leafs opened the scoring 2:45 into the game. Tyler Bozak raced through the neutral zone and dished a pass over the stick of a diving Ladd to Kessel, who tapped the puck past Pavelec for his 37th of the season.

The Jets tied the game at the 6:22 mark of the first. Little took a pass from Frolik and slid it past Reimer.

Kadri gave the Maple Leafs a 2-1 lead at 13:45 of the first. Pavelec went behind his net to settle down the puck, but it took an odd bounce straight to Kadri, who tapped the puck into the open net.

Trouba jumped up on the play and scored with four seconds left in the first. Frolik's shot from the right circle bounced off James van Riemsdyk's leg right to Trouba in front, who wristed the puck past Reimer to even the game at two.

The Jets took a 4-2 lead at 7:09 of the third after the Maple Leafs turned the puck over in the defensive zone. After Wheeler had his first pass blocked, he dished a pass to Jokinen in the slot, whose wrister beat Reimer.

Game Notes

Joffrey Lupul returned to the Toronto lineup to play in his 600th career game. He sat out Thursday with a lower-body injury ... This was Toronto's final home game of the season ... Winnipeg has won its last four matchups against Toronto.
