Recap: Phoenix vs. San Jose

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored a power-play goal with 2:28 to play to lead the Phoenix Coyotes to a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks in preseason action.

Radim Vrbata had the other goal while Thomas Greiss made 25 saves for the Coyotes, who went 4-2-1 in the preseason.

Phoenix opens its regular season at home against the New York Rangers on October 3.

Bracken Kearns scored the only goal of the game for the Sharks, who got 24 saves from Alex Stalock.
