Recap: Colorado vs. Anaheim

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Hampus Lindholm netted the game-winning goal late in the third period, as the Anaheim Ducks downed the Colorado Avalanche, 2-1, on Wednesday in a preseason contest at Pepsi Center.

Both of Anaheim's markers came on the power play, with Devante Smith-Pelly lighting the lamp on the man-advantage 6:48 into the second to tie the game before Lindholm put the Ducks in front with 5:56 left in the contest.

Frederik Andersen started between the pipes for Anaheim and stopped 9-of-10 shots, while John Gibson turned away all 18 shots he faced in relief.

Paul Stastny scored Colorado's lone goal, while starting netminder Semyon Varlamov allowed both goals on 24 shots for the Avalanche.
