Recap: Carolina vs. Montreal

Quebec City, QC (Sports Network) - Peter Budaj and Dustin Tokarsky combined for a shutout as the Montreal Canadiens blanked the Carolina Hurricanes, 6-0.

Greg Pateryn and Alex Galchenyuk scored 26 seconds apart early on for Montreal, which scored all six goals against Canes' netminder Cam Ward.

David Desharnais, Michael Bournival, P.K. Subban and Max Pacioretty also scored in the triumph, the latter netting a penalty shot early in the third period.

Montreal led 4-0 after the first period on just 10 shots.
