Recap: Toronto vs. Ottawa

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Jim O'Brien and Colin Greening scored less than two minutes apart in the third period to lift the Ottawa Senators to a 3-2 decision over the Toronto Maple Leafs in a preseason clash from Air Canada Centre.

O'Brien snapped a 1-1 tie 6:48 into the final frame, with Greening tallying the eventual game-winner with 11:17 remaining and adding an assist on Zack Smith's goal earlier in the game.

Robin Lehner contributed 26 saves to the Senators' victory.

James van Riemsdyk and Dion Phaneuf had the goals for Toronto, with Tyler Bozak notching two assists and James Reimer stopping 34-of-37 shots.

Maple Leafs forward Phil Kessel began serving a three-game preseason suspension for slashing Buffalo's John Scott in Sunday's matchup with the Sabres, which precipitated a melee between the two teams in the third period.
