Recap: Calgary vs. Phoenix

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Zbynek Michalek netted the game-winner with 1:07 left in overtime as the Phoenix Coyotes topped the Calgary Flames, 3-2, in preseason action.

The Coyotes led 2-0 after the first period on goals from Shane Doan and Oliver Ekman-Larsson, but the Flames scored a pair in the second to tie it and force the extra session. Lance Bouma and Corban Knight lit the lamp for Calgary.

Mike Smith turned away 29-of-31 shots in goal for Phoenix, while his counterpart Reto Berra surrendered all three goals on 25 shots.
