Recap: Montreal vs. Ottawa

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Alex Galchenyuk, Tomas Plekanec and Max Pacioretty each had goals to back a 29-save effort from Carey Price in the Montreal Canadiens' 3-1 preseason win over the Ottawa Senators.

Ottawa had taken a 1-0 lead on Cory Conacher's goal just over five minutes in, but Galchenyuk tied it near the end of the first period and Plekanec put Montreal ahead with 1:54 remaining in the second. Price registered 13 saves over the final two frames.

Craig Anderson stopped 22-of-25 shots for the Senators in a losing cause.

The game was the final preseason tune-up for the Canadiens, who host Toronto Tuesday in the regular-season opener.
