Recap: Vancouver vs. NY Rangers

Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Henrik Sedin scored two goals, Roberto Luongo made 41 saves and the Vancouver Canucks blanked the New York Rangers, 5-0.

Alexander Edler collected three assists and Frank Corrado had a goal with one helper for the Canucks.

New York goaltender Henrik Lundqvist was beaten five times on 17 shots over the first two periods. Martin Biron replaced Lundqvist and was hardly tested, facing only three shots in the third.

The game was matchup between coaches who swapped teams in the offseason. The Rangers hired Alain Vigneault after firing John Tortorella, who took over Vigneault's old post with the Canucks.
