Recap: Carolina vs. Columbus

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Cam Atkinson scored twice as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-3, in the preseason opener for both teams on Sunday.

Nick Foligno and Mike Hoeffel also scored for the Blue Jackets, who saw goaltender Anton Forsberg make 29 saves.

Andrej Sekera, Riley Nash and Chris Terry all scored, and goaltender Cam Ward allowed three goals on 13 shots for the Hurricanes.
