Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the winning goal in the shootout to lift the Washington Capitals to a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers in preseason action.

Andre Burakovsky and Eric Fehr scored in regulation for Washington, with Fehr's goal late in the third period forcing overtime. Justin Peters stopped 25-of-27 shots in the win.

Mark Streit and Jason Akeson each lit the lamp for Philadelphia, which saw Steve Mason stop 18-of-20 shots in defeat.
