Colorado Springs, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Weal scored the difference maker in the sixth round of the shootout as the Kings edged the Avalanche, 2-1, in an exhibition game at Broadmoor World Arena.

Tyler Toffoli scored the only goal in regulation for the Kings, whose starting goaltender, Jonathan Quick, stopped 20 of 21 shots. Martin Jones made 13 saves in relief.

Max Talbot scored the long foal for the Avs, while Reto Berra made 42 saves in the setback.
