Recap: Florida vs. Anaheim

Sunrise, FL ( - Dmitry Kulikov, Nick Bjugstad and Jimmy Hayes each recorded a power-play goal as the Florida Panthers posted a 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Already leading 3-1, Florida scored two goals in a 22-second span in the second period to put the game away and win for the third time in four games.

Aaron Ekblad, Aleksander Barkov and Dave Bolland added markers, Jonathan Huberdeau tallied three assists, and Brian Campbell had two for the Panthers.

Roberto Luongo made 31 saves for the hosts.

The Ducks fell to 1-2-1 on their five-game road trip thanks to shaky goaltending. Ilya Bryzgalov allowed three goals on eight shots to start, then John Gibson relieved him in the second period and yielded three more scores on 18 shots the rest of the way.

Kyle Palmieri and Tim Jackman were credited with goals for Anaheim.

A few minutes after Anaheim got on the board, Florida responded with a two- goal flurry. First, Barkov deked to his backhand to completely fool Gibson after a great pass from Brad Boyes sent him in behind the defense.

A stretch pass off the ensuing faceoff created a two-on-one. Tomas Fleischmann's shot was stopped, but Bolland put in the rebound.

The Ducks scored 1 1/2 minutes later on a goal Luongo would like to have back. Jackman backhanded the puck toward him from the neutral zone, and he failed to corral the bouncing puck.

Luongo put it behind him and stopped all 12 shots against him in the third period. Hayes scored in the third to account for the final margin.

Despite entering the game with the 27th-ranked power play, the Panthers scored a pair of power-play goals in the opening period. Kulikov opened the scoring with a heavy slapshot, and Bjugstad sent a knuckling puck past Bryzgalov.

Ekblad's goal 5 1/2 minutes into the second period chased Bryzgalov from the game. The defenseman joined the rush and ripped a shot past the struggling goalie.

Anaheim scored on a 5-on-3 two minutes later. Rickard Rakell's pass across the slot set up Palmieri, and even though a Panther got his stick on the puck, the pass still had enough on it to reach Palmieri, who promptly lifted the puck into the net.
