Recap: Nashville vs. Tampa Bay

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - James Neal scored the winning goal with 33 seconds to play in overtime to lead the Nashville Predators in a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

With time winding down, Roman Josi was able to chip the puck into the Tampa end where Neal caught up to it in the slot. Holding off a defender, Neal zipped a shot between the pads of Andrei Vasilevskiy for the win.

"Josi made a good play to get it to the middle," said Neal of the goal. "I managed to get it back on my stick there, and just got it on net as quick as I could. It felt good to see it go in."

Seth Jones and Taylor Beck also scored for the Predators, who have won three straight and five of six. Pekka Rinne allowed two goals on 32 shots in the win.

Brett Connolly and Nikita Kucherov scored for the Lightning, who have lost three of four. Vasilevskiy gave up three goals on 29 shots in the loss.

"It's nice that we came back, but we have to start believing that we're one of the better teams in the league and not be satisfied with just one point," said Tampa forward Steven Stamkos.

After a scoreless first period, the Predators went on top 8:31 into the second as Jones' wrister from the right circle beat Vasilevskiy cleanly.

Nashville made it a 2-0 game just over four minutes later when Paul Gaustad's shot from the left point was stopped and Beck was there to tap in the rebound.

The Lightning made it a one-goal game at 1:20 of the third as Valtteri Filppula sent a backhand shot on net from the high slot and Connolly was there to put in the rebound.

Tampa then tied the game at 7:50 of the third on Kucherov's snap shot off a feed from Ondrej Palat for his 21st goal of the season.
