Recap: Minnesota vs. Calgary

St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Thomas Vanek, Mikko Koivu and Zach Parise each scored during the third period as the Minnesota Wild topped the Calgary Flames by a 4-2 score on Friday.

Matt Dumba also lit the lamp and Devan Dubnyk made 23 saves in his 33rd consecutive start for the Wild, who have won four straight games and six of their last seven.

"These points are huge right now," Dumba said. "When it comes game time, everyone is focused and ready to go to war."

Josh Jooris and Markus Granlund both scored for the Flames, who have dropped their last two games. Karri Ramo allowed all four goals on 35 shots before being pulled in the final stanza for Jonas Hiller, who stopped just one shot in relief.

"Right from the drop of the puck, they dominated us," Calgary head coach Bob Hartley said. "Quite a performance for the Wild."

Vanek put the Wild up 2-1 just 3:36 into the third as he corralled the rebound of Justin Fontaine's shot and fired it into the net.

Minnesota got an insurance marker just three minutes later as Chris Stewart sent the puck on net from along the right-wing boards and Koivu tipped the puck through Ramo's pads.

Parise stripped a Flames defender at the Minnesota blue line, raced into the offensive zone and finished off his breakaway for his 30th goal of the season for a 4-1 game with 8:14 to play.

Calgary cut the deficit to two as Granlund deflected Mason Raymond's shot in front with 4:43 to play.

Hiller was pulled with over a minute left, but the Flames were unable to force overtime.

Jooris opened the scoring 5:52 into the game with a wrister over Dubnyk's shoulder in close.

Midway through the first period, Dumba tied the game after following his shot and tapping a trickling puck into the net from the left side for a power-play goal.
