Recap: Edmonton vs. Calgary

Edmonton, AB ( - Jonas Hiller subbed for an injured Karri Ramo and turned in a 27-save performance, and Calgary came away with a 4-0 decision over Edmonton at Rexall Place.

Markus Granlund tallied twice with Dennis Wideman adding a goal and two assists and Joe Colborne also scoring for the Flames, winners in three of their last four. The visitors jumped into third place in the Pacific Division, one point ahead of Los Angeles, which occupies the final wild-card berth in the West.

"It was a great game for the entire team and a big win for us," said Granlund.

Hiller was called upon after Ramo exited with a left leg injury only 58 seconds into the contest.

Ben Scrivens stopped 25 pucks for the Oilers, who have dropped three in a row after winning three straight.

"They're an opportunistic team," said Oilers winger Taylor Hall. "We didn't get enough traffic to their net."

Colborne put the Flames on the board with his pinball score less than two minutes into the contest.

Granlund doubled the Calgary advantage with just over two minutes to play in the second by settling a Josh Jooris pass on the right wing and scoring with a forehander, then Wideman added a power-play marker at 2:16 of the third.

Calgary's fourth goal, coming with 1:08 left, resulted from Scrivens misplaying the puck far out of his crease. He failed to get back into position in time before Granlund beat him from a sharp angle on the right wing.

Hiller came on and stopped 11 shots in the first period, then six in the second and 10 in the third.
