Recap: Anaheim vs. Colorado

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Perry scored the game-winning goal 1:25 into overtime to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Friday.

After Sami Vatanen stripped a player of the puck, Perry took the loose puck and finished off a breakaway with a wrister over Semyon Varlamov's glove for the win.

Jiri Sekac and Rickard Rakell each tallied a goal and an assist and Frederik Andersen made 22 saves en route to the Ducks' fourth straight win.

"Sami made a great play at the blueline, making a play on that puck and just poking it ahead," said Perry. "I was fortunate to have that breakaway and I had an idea of what I wanted to do."

Jarome Iginla and Ryan O'Reilly each lit the lamp, while Varlamov made 37 stops as Colorado's three-game winning streak was halted.

"That was a hard-fought game," Avalanche head coach Patrick Roy said. "I'm very happy with the performance of the team. It's an important point for us now."

Trailing 1-0 in the third period, Matt Duchene skated below the goal line and sent a laser of a pass to the top of the goalmouth, where Iginla tapped it in for a tied game at 5:28.

Less than two minutes later, O'Reilly gathered a turnover at the Colorado blue line, skated through the neutral zone and beat Andersen stick side with a quick shot for a short-handed goal and a 2-1 lead.

Rakell quickly tied the game up after drifting into the slot, poking the puck past a Colorado defender and shooting the puck into the right corner of the net with 10:56 remaining.

Sekac opened the scoring for the Ducks just 3:37 into the game by skating behind the net to the left circle where he sent a low wrister past Varlamov to cap his line's hard-working shift.
