Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Flyers agreed to terms with center Brayden Schenn Wednesday on a two-year contract extension, according to general manager Ron Hextall.

Financial terms were not released, per team policy, but TSN reported that Schenn's new deal is worth an annual average value of $2.5 million.

Schenn set career highs in goals (20), assists (21) and points in 82 games last season for the Flyers.

The 22-year-old was acquired from Los Angeles along with forward Wayne Simmonds and a second round pick in June of 2012 in exchange for forward Mike Richards.

Schenn has since then registered 40 goals and 45 helpers in 183 regular season games across three seasons in Philadelphia. He also tallied three goals and nine assists in 18 career playoff games.
