Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Brian Boucher and the Philadelphia Flyers are reunited again.

The Flyers acquired the veteran goaltender and defenseman Mark Alt from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Luke Pither.

Drafted in the first round by the Flyers in 1995, Boucher returns for a third tour of duty with the Orange and Black. He played parts of three seasons (1999-2002) with Philadelphia before returning for the 2009-10 campaign.

After the 2010-11 season, Boucher left the organization, signing a two-year contract with Carolina.

For his career, the 36-year-old Boucher has compiled a record of 120-137-15 with 30 ties in 324 games (287 starts) with Philadelphia, Phoenix, Calgary, Chicago, Columbus, San Jose and the Hurricanes.

Alt, 21, has three assists and a plus-11 rating in 21 games for the Minnesota Gophers this season. The Hurricanes selected him in the second round of the 2010 draft.

The 23-year-old Pither has registered 11 goals and 14 assists in 35 games with Trenton and Wheeling of the ECHL this season.
