New York, NY (Sports Network) - San Jose Sharks left wing Patrick Marleau headlines the list of the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the first week of the season.

Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford and Tampa Bay right wing Martin St. Louis were also honored.

Marleau captured the First Star after posting nine goals and 13 points in the first nine days of the shortened campaign. He became only the second player in NHL history to record four consecutive multi-goal games to start a season, joining Cy Denneny of Ottawa in 1917-18.

That streak was stopped Sunday, as Marleau managed just one goal and an assist in San Jose's 4-1 win over Vancouver. He still became the first player with at least one goal in his team's first five games since 2008-09, when St. Louis' Keith Tkachuk (6 games) and Buffalo's Thomas Vanek (5 games) accomplished the feat.

Crawford had to settle for the Second Star despite posting five wins with a 1.78 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage to help Chicago to its first 6-0-0 start in franchise history.

St. Louis was rewarded with the Third Star after racking up eight assists and 11 points in five games for the Lightning. He closed the week with four assists in a 5-1 triumph over Philadelphia on Sunday.
