Nairobi, Kenya (Sports Network) - Jordi Garcia Pinto carded a 2-under 69 on Sunday to win the Barclays Kenya Open.

Garcia Pinto finished his first European Challenge Tour title at 12-under-par 272.

Garcia Pinto opened the day in a tie with Tim Sluiter for the tournament lead and birdied his first two holes at Karen Country Club to take a 1-stroke lead over Sluiter, who birdied the second.

Both players stumbled to a bogey on the third and after a birdie by Sluiter at the eighth pulled the two into another tie, Sluiter needed two attempts to get out of a bunker at the ninth en route to another bogey.

Garcia Pinto, meanwhile, scrambled out of an errant tee shot to record a par. Sluiter then birdied the 10th to pull even again, but he was quickly derailed by bogeys at the 11th and 13th and could not recover.

Garcia Pinto birdied the 12th and eagled the 15th to pull away for good despite consecutive bogeys at the 16th and 17th.

Sluiter finished with a 1-under 70 to secure second place at minus-11 and George Murray (69) took third at 9-under.

Jose-Filipe Lima (65) was alone in fourth at minus-8, while Edouard Dubois (68) and Brooks Koepka (71) shared fifth at 7-under 277.
