Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Amateur sensation Lydia Ko defended her CN Canadian Women's Open title with a 5-stroke victory on Sunday and that vaulted her into the top 10 of this week's women's world rankings.

With the win, the 16-year-old Ko became the first amateur in history to win two LPGA Tour events and also became the first player to defend her title at an event since Yani Tseng won the Women's British Open in 2010 and 2011.

Those accomplishments helped Ko jump 12 spots in the rankings to No. 7.

The top six places ahead of Ko remained the same, with Inbee Park again being followed by Stacy Lewis, Suzann Pettersen, Na Yeon Choi, So Yeon Ryu and Karrie Webb.

I.K. Kim stayed at No. 8, while Shanshan Feng dropped a pair of spots to ninth and Catriona Matthew fell a place to 10th.

Paula Creamer maintained her position at 11th, Jiyai Shin dropped two spots to 12th, and Cristie Kerr, Ai Miyazato, Yani Tseng, Hee Young Park and Angela Stanford all fell a place to 13th through 17th.

Lizette Salas held firm in 18th place, Mika Miyazato dropped two places to 19th and Karine Icher jumped up four places behind her second-place finish in Alberta to round out the top 20.
