Fire decline options on three players

Bridgeview, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Fire announced late Monday that the club has declined options on midfielder Corben Bone, defender Gonzalo Segares and goalkeeper Jay Nolly.

All three players are now eligible for the MLS Re-Entry Process. The first round of the MLS Re-Entry Draft is scheduled for Friday, December 7 with the second round taking place the following Friday, December 14.

Bone was Chicago's first round selection (13th overall) in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. He made 17 appearances in three seasons with the club, managing just one assist during his tenure.

Segares was selected by the Fire in the third round (35th overall) of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft. The Costa Rica international has amassed 178 appearances with Chicago over eight season, registering 11 goals and 13 assists. He was named the club's Defender of the Year in 2007.

Nolly was acquired by Chicago in 2001 in a trade with Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He did not make an MLS appearance with the Fire but did manage six appearances in MLS Reserve League play.
