Portland, OR (Sports Network) - The Portland Timbers announced on Wednesday that the club has acquired forward Ryan Johnson and goalkeeper Milos Kocic from Toronto FC in exchange for goalkeeper Joe Bendik, Portland's highest first-round pick in the 2013 SuperDraft and allocation money.

Johnson has spent the past six seasons in MLS having played a total of 162 regular-season matches for Real Salt Lake, Chicago, San Jose and Toronto, scoring 27 goals with 20 assists.

The 28-year-old Johnson finished last season with seven goals and five assists for TFC while featuring in 31 games.

Kocic, 27, is coming off of his fourth campaign in the league having made a career-high 27 appearances for the Reds last term.

In addition to those players, the Timbers also have acquired the No. 2 spot in the allocation order from Chivas USA in exchange for the No. 3 spot in the allocation order and either an international slot for the 2013 season or a second-round draft pick in the 2013 SuperDraft should the team acquire one.

Bendik moves to Toronto after starting three games for Portland last season.

The 23-year-old played two years in Norway for Songdal prior to his arrival in MLS this past February.
