Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Corey Hart will undergo athroscopic surgery on his right knee on Tuesday and is expected to miss the first six weeks of the 2013 season.

Dr. William Raasch will perform a debridement of right knee joint surface and repair a meniscal tear during the procedure.

Hart, who had surgery on his right knee last spring to repair cartilage damage, is expected to miss the next 3-to-4 months.

Hart hit .270 with 30 home runs and 83 RBI in 149 games last season.

The 30-year-old Kentucky native has spent his entire nine-year career in Milwaukee since being selected by the Brewers in the 11th round of the 2000 amateur draft.

Over 945 games, the two-time All-Star has batted .276 with 154 homers, 508 RBI and 83 stolen bases.
