Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Jets on Tuesday placed defensive back Isaiah Trufant on injured reserve and waived linebacker Aaron Maybin.

Trufant, who has been slowed by a knee injury, posted only one tackle in a 28-7 loss at Seattle last Sunday. In nine games this season, he has totaled 13 tackles.

Maybin, who had been signed as a restricted free agent by the Jets back in April, appeared in eight games for New York this season, credited with just one tackle.
