Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - Brooklyn Nets new head coach Jason Kidd began filling out his staff on Friday, with the team agreeing in principle with Lawrence Frank, Roy Rogers and Eric Hughes to serve as assistant coaches.

Frank coached the Nets for parts of seven seasons (2004-09) and is the franchise's all-time leader in NBA coaching victories, posting a 225-241 regular-season record during his tenure.

The Nets made four consecutive postseason appearances from 2004-07 and won two Atlantic Division titles (2004, 2006) under the guide of Frank, with Kidd leading the team on the court as the Nets' starting point guard from 2001-02 until he was traded to Dallas in February of 2008.

Following his term with the Nets, Frank served as an assistant coach in Boston in 2010-11 before being named head coach of the Detroit Pistons on Aug. 3, 2011. In two seasons with Detroit, Frank led the Pistons to a 54-94 record.

Rogers started his NBA coaching career with the Nets, serving as an assistant from 2008-10 before spending the last two seasons as an assistant under Frank with the Pistons.

Hughes spent the last six seasons with the Toronto Raptors. He was originally hired in 2007-08 as a basketball development consultant before being promoted to assistant coach/basketball development on July 1, 2009.

Also on Friday, Brooklyn announced Doug Overton will remain on the staff as an assistant coach. Overton will enter his sixth season with the Nets and fourth as an assistant coach.
