New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler will likely miss at least three more games after being diagnosed with a bulging disc in his neck on Tuesday.

Chandler has not played since exiting a loss at Denver last Wednesday with a left knee contusion, an injury that kept him out of the following night's game against Portland. The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year then sat out the final two contests of the Knicks' West Coast trip with what the team initially termed as a sprained neck.

An MRI taken Tuesday revealed a small bulging disc, with Chandler expected to be sidelined an additional week.

Chandler leads New York in rebounding (11.0 rpg) while averaging 10.7 points per game this season, numbers that earned him his first career All-Star nod.

The Knicks also announced that forward Kurt Thomas will be out approximately 2-to-4 weeks after the veteran injured his right foot in Monday's matchup at Utah.

Thomas, the league's oldest active player at 40, is dealing with an acute stress reaction surrounding a chronic stress fracture in his navicular bone.
