Melbourne, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) - Reigning doubles champions Mike and Bob Bryan suffered a straight-set loss Monday in the third round at the Australian Open.

American Eric Butorac and South African Raven Klaasen teamed up to dispose of the top-seeded Bryan twins by a 7-6 (11-9), 6-4 margin at Hisense Arena.

The Bryans had won six of the last eight Australian Open titles and hadn't missed the finals at the event since 2008.
