The latest on our next winter weather event inside.

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Ms. Dean's 3rd Grade class at Wallace A. Smith in Ooltewah.  They asked some great questions about tornados.  Take a look at these youngsters:

As the moon set this morning, the Tennessee Valley enjoyed a treat, a total lunar eclipse. The Earth's shadow slowly covered the moon while scattered and reflected sunlight caused by the Earth, gave it a reddish glow.

In a report that came out last week, La Nina, which is the opposite of El Nino, may come this year. El Nino had an impact on our winter weather, especially during the November to Mid January time frame with the warmer temps and position of the Jet Stream. While La Nina has not officially started, waters are cooling in the mid-Pacific equatorial region of the Pacific Ocean.
