The 6th Cavalry Museum’s special art exhibition “Lives and Lands of the Civil War” opens to the public on September 3. The exhibition, which museum guests can view until October 26, features the work of 18 artists from the Southeast. All works depict images of the people, architecture and landscapes of the American Civil War. The exhibition coincides with the commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Chickamauga and the American Civil War.  The 6th Cavalry Museum is located at 6 Barnhardt Circle, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742. For more information, call 706-861-2860 or visit www.6thcavalrymuseum.org.
